The State Audit Office of the Kingdom Thailand (SAO) has established a coordination center to assist victims affected by the damage to its new office building on Kamphaeng Phet 2 Road, Bangkok, following the severe earthquake on 28 March 2025. SAO extends its deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and injured.

The construction project, initiated in 2018, adhered to legal procedures, with design by Forum Architect Co., Ltd. and Meinhardt (Thailand) Ltd. (73 million baht). The construction contract, awarded to ITD-CREC Joint Venture (2,136 million baht), was managed under strict compliance with building standards, including earthquake resistance. Supervision was handled by PKW Joint Venture (74.65 million baht).

SAO confirms no design modifications were made, with structural integrity verified by qualified professionals. The procurement process emphasized transparency, anti-corruption measures, and cost efficiency, resulting in savings of 386.15 million baht.

SAO is cooperating with authorities to investigate the incident and provide support to victims. A coordination center has been set up to integrate relief efforts with relevant agencies.
