This collaboration between the State Audit Office of the Kingdom of Thailand (SAO), the Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), and the Office of Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) marks a significant step toward advancing policy-level corruption risk assessments in Thailand’s mega projects.
By formalizing their partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the three agencies commit to integrating data, technology, and inter-agency cooperation to proactively identify, monitor, and address corruption risks in public procurement and financial management.
The MoU lays a foundation for effective auditing, policy recommendation, and real-time corruption surveillance. It also establishes mechanisms to propose legal reforms, issue early warnings, and ensure timely corrective actions for high-risk or inefficient projects.
Furthermore, it emphasizes public engagement and education to foster a culture of transparency and accountability. This initiative represents a proactive and systemic approach to good governance, aiming to protect national interests and enhance public trust in the management of large-scale public investments.
