Breaking News: Major corruption scheme uncovered in Bangkok

Seven Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) officials have been arrested for orchestrating a fraudulent bus repair scheme, causing a loss of approximately 2.8 million baht.

The State Audit Office (SAO) detected irregularities in repair contracts for five air-conditioned buses between 2022 and 2024. Investigations revealed that repairs were billed but never performed.

This operation was a collaborative effort involving the SAO, National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC), and the Anti-Corruption Division of the Royal Thai Police (ACD). BMA pledges full cooperation and a commitment to eradicate corruption within its ranks.
