The Performance Audit Strategic Plan on Equality (2024–2027) by the State Audit Office of the Kingdom Thailand (SAO) aligns with the nation’s 20-Year National Strategy and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It emphasizes reducing social and economic inequality while promoting inclusivity and fairness. Key focus areas include improving income distribution, ensuring equitable access to public services, and addressing issues affecting vulnerable groups, including low-income earners, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.

The strategic plan is structured around three primary strategies: supporting job creation and income generation, enhancing access to essential services, and ensuring long-term security for vulnerable populations. It also highlights the importance of auditing land allocation, employment for persons with disabilities, housing for low-income households, and readiness for elderly care.

The plan underscores the need for government agencies to enhance their implementation of equality-focused policies. It also stresses monitoring and evaluating progress, developing auditor capacity, and integrating digital technology to bridge social disparities. By 2028, regional audit offices are expected to fully integrate equality audits into their operations, contributing to Thailand's sustainable and inclusive development.
